I am in the process of getting a faster internet, like 60/3 instead of my pittyfull 7/.5 adsl. However, the local cable compagny use a shitty modem/router that block essential stuff like port 80 and POP3. Would that be possible to disable that blocking with a modded router ?

No, Ports are allocated on the CMTS's Firewall
