Ok Thanks for the picture. I just have to plug it into the pin headers right?

Hey people. I have damaged my SB5101's J201 slots when soldering header. Soldering is so frustrating work for me. Pins of header are too close. Plastic of headers instantly being to melt. So, i'v fucked up. Yes, i'm a uber noob. :/

I wonder. Is there any way to connect the SB5101 to Blackcat without J201? Can i connect via J303 or J304 or another slot? Any help would be awesome...

how fucked is fucked? as i dont really see how you can fuck up installing headers they are huge (and any alt points there are, are smaller the the header it's self)
if your melting the plastic on the headers your holding the heat on to long and that you iron is to hot

how hot was your iron, rule one of soldering is always use a temp controlled iron, even ebays cheapest china import is better than any none temp controlled iron

I never solder a Sb5100 or Sb5101, what i always do is put the 10 pin header in to the J TAG cable and hold it with my hand inside the modem never have a problem.

good point, but here's my tip of the day over sized headers (same pitch just longer)

an image to show what i mean (the header on the right is normal sized, the left are huge i just place the long side through the holes and lean the across for connection works every time and no holding in place)
