are you flashing with verify data on or off?

try it with on see if it gets any errors. maybe your jtag cable is too long if it is unbuffered.

verify is off. I usually get errors and was advised I keep it off. But for testing purposes I'll leave it on.. trying now.

This is the jtag I ordered..

This is what I usually end up with, with the verify on. The very first sector comes up with an error.

you have a bad connection somewhere, test the continuity with a multimeter

RE: I may have bricked my sb5100 - Sunaj - 10-10-2013

As pathetic is this sounds I'm not sure hoe to do that.

Also i've tried the poke commands, only thing i've yet to try is the wire on the tsop trick which i'm not quite sure how to do

Thanks, but I might as well buy another modem if I have to buy something else and hope I don't mess it up.

a cheap and nasty multimeter should be a necessary part of any hackers tool kit
