cfi flash is for 2mb dumping and backups if you just wanted to flash haxor you should have used the 5101 tab and just wrote the firmware

yes the above is exactly what you did and yes you killed the nonvol/certs

so what do i have to do now to fix the modem Sad, i was thinking of back up the cfi flash and memory of another modem and then write it into the bricked modem, will that work?

RE: Accidently Write/CFI Flash Using Haxorware - drewmerc - 18-10-2011

that would be your only option

RE: Accidently Write/CFI Flash Using Haxorware - tonyduong15 - 18-10-2011

but you think it will work? cuhz i tried it it said somehintg like mismatch w/e on the console i did tried that already but it doesnt seem to change.

RE: Accidently Write/CFI Flash Using Haxorware - drewmerc - 18-10-2011

mismatch, something like? not an error i have ever seen unless your doing something stupid like trying to flash a 5100 dump to a 5101

no I did try to read every single tab on the working sb5101, then save it to one folder, then i plug in the bricked sb5101, and i started to write using whatever i just saved, and it still doesn't work. Here is all the file I backed up from the working one, please check if anything wrong with it.

RE: Accidently Write/CFI Flash Using Haxorware - drewmerc - 19-10-2011

the file you want to write is called 00-1FFFFF(CFI flash).bin as thats a 2mb image (it seems to be haxor diag without flashing it and looking) i fixed you a stock version for you aswell (ok it's just a stock 5101 dump with your nonvol added)

RE: Accidently Write/CFI Flash Using Haxorware - tonyduong15 - 19-10-2011

RE: Accidently Write/CFI Flash Using Haxorware - drewmerc - 19-10-2011

which backup did you try? did you try using the stock 2mb backup i made
also which tab are you using to flash the backup i sent you? (it should be cfi flash tab)

so if it still fails doing the above do this goto the 5101 tab and write this bootloader
http://www.haxorware.com/forums/attachment.php?aid=205
then write this firmware
http://www.haxorware.com/forums/attachment.php?aid=280
and try that

okay I did download the two files you link me, then i went to Sb5101 tab I click write and select the hacked bootloader i just downloaded, and i click change firmware and selected the SB5101-2.4.1.6-SCM02-NOSH, it still doesn't work.

screenshot all 5 tabs after what you told me to do.
