Download Speed - Dommino22 - 26-05-2011
Hey guys i got haxorware for a long time already and i live in Chicago. For last 3 months i changed my certs and now when i go to speed test my modem is getting about 15 - 20 mbs and than drops it to 1.97mb it goes very slow any ideas? New modem or diffrent certs? Modem SB5101

there could be many reasons for this, crappy dns, bad route to the server
so first i'd check put dns issues, run this and see if you can get a better dns server http://code.google.com/p/namebench/
if that dont help try traceroute it may find whats happening

Ok so i have tested the dns i got 22.5%. I did the traceroute and it didnt find nothing. I got other same modem and when i connect it its still the same. Maybe i should get docsis 3.0 but than do they sell it with haxorware?

d3.0 is a lot harder to use due to it all being command line

Can you explain it to me how to use it i will order it today. And can you tell me where can i get one with haxorware or one that is going to work with my cable

i have no idea i dont use d3 modems at all but there are some good tutorials on the surfboard hacker forums

Sorry i missed a word i was going to write if i would need to sstart paying more for my internet i got now comcast for 29.99 and it is reall slow and on website i saw docsis cos 169.99 a month so if i would get the 3.0 i would need to start paying tthis much?

i dont know anything about comcast but on my network it makes no difference (in fact it's better if your subbed modem is d2 as it's easyer to extract the certs from it)
